![]() As the name suggests, Diablo III is the third franchise in the Diablo chronology. Now that you are hooked to know more about this amazing game, let me tell you more about it. That is if you have not yet played it before. If you have been looking for another fantastic action-based game that allows for role-playing, then you should try Diablo III. Sounds like some people need a psychologist.I can’t ignore the fact that the world is filled with several game lovers who are constantly on the lookout for great games to dominate. It has absolutely nothing to do with Diablo as a game, but everything to do with acceptance from peers. A leaderboard is nothing but a dog whistle for hacks to come up with a way to cheat the system. You want to impress people? Then record your runs and put them on Youtube. You want competition? Then play the game at max level and go to town. No need to give two shits about who is the best. Just play the damn game by yourself or with friends. I'll never understand the mentality to be THE BEST OF ALL TIME when my only focus is to be the Best for ME. Little boys who never grew up have made a career out of checking in to the Leaderboard dozens of times a day to see themselves atop the leaderboard, and take action even if they fall even one NOTCH! Must be the BEST (even though they really aren't) and are influenced by getting pats on the back for not doing the work it takes to actually BE the best and #1. ![]() So, no matter what your hobby is, especially if it's online, there will always be those idiots who MUST be #1. ![]() Once the makers of the website discovered this exploit, they banned bots and anybody who used them, did away with the Leaderboard, and now, some of those dudes don't even have a podcast anymore because their only interest was to be #1. Dudes who had 4 people in their chat room during the LIVE broadcast somehow had 100,000+ listens and 50,000 downloads. So of course, those whose competitive nature peaked (just so they could become #1) invented bots to click "Play" on their podcast endlessly. The ranking was determined by how many listens you got, how many followers you had, and how many downloads your podcast got. When I started my podcast on a certain website, they had a ranking system. I think Blizzard should do away with the leaderboards. ![]()
